Our Story
At Mahotsav Restaurant & Bar, we believe food is more than just taste — it’s a celebration of identity, tradition, and community. While efforts are being made to place Nepali cuisine on the global stage, many still take its richness for granted. Too often, authentic dishes are overlooked with the common phrase, “Why eat dal bhat outside when I can have it at home?”
Over the years, the word “authentic” has lost meaning in Nepal’s restaurant scene, with many serving the same meals under different names. But at Mahotsav — a proud continuation of the legacy set by our sister brand Utsav since 2009 — authenticity is at the heart of everything we do.
Our journey began with a vision: to offer more than just food, but an immersive Nepali cultural experience. From the moment guests arrive, they are welcomed with traditional tika and greeted by staff in authentic Nepali attire — a gesture of true hospitality. Inside, guests enjoy not just a thoughtfully prepared meal free from artificial additives, but also live cultural performances that honor the stories, dances, and music of Nepal’s rich heritage.
Our signature set meals are served on traditional brass plates, featuring perfectly balanced flavors — steamed rice, black lentils, sautéed greens, homestyle chicken and fish, and our beloved tomato achar. Everything is prepared with care, just like it would be at home.
The ambiance reflects old-world charm, with carefully curated décor, handcrafted furniture, and two spacious halls that accommodate up to 250 guests. Whether you’re here for dinner, a cultural show, a business gathering, or a family celebration, Mahotsav offers an experience that lingers far beyond the last bite.

Main Hall
Our Main Hall offers the perfect blend of style, comfort, and cutting-edge technology. With a sleek, fully stocked bar and a spacious layout, it can comfortably accommodate over 100 guests — making it ideal for both lively celebrations and elegant gatherings. The warm lighting and inviting décor create a welcoming ambience, while modern features — including a large LED screen and premium sound system — ensure an exceptional experience for events, presentations, or entertainment. Whether it’s a party, corporate function, or special occasion, the Main Hall sets the stage for unforgettable moments.
Garden Lounge
The Garden Lounge is a refreshing open-air space where nature meets elegance. Surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sound of fountains, it offers a peaceful yet lively ambience — perfect for outdoor celebrations and gatherings. With comfortable seating and a spacious layout, the Garden Lounge can easily accommodate up to 100 guests.
